Last month, Colorado Task Force 1 sent 45 first responders down south to aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and now, with Hurricane Milton's imminent landfall, additional resources including a Chinook helicopter along with its eight crew members have been dispatched to Florida, Colorado's governor announced a continued commitment which was echoed by the presence of personnel from 23 local agencies mobilizing alongside countless others for the cause of patching and healing, restoring what the storm has yet to tear aside.
Confirming the state's support, Governor Polis said, as per KDVR, "It is the Colorado way to step up and lend a hand to our fellow Americans in need, today will be no different," while extending prayers and thoughts towards those affected by the recent natural disasters.
