A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 85 north near Charlotte disrupted the Friday morning commute. The incident happened around 8:22 a.m. near mile marker 49, resulting in an overturned car and closing three of the five northbound lanes. While the lanes were initially expected to remain closed until about 10:30 a.m., they reopened ahead of schedule by 10 a.m., as reported by according to WBTV.
After the crash, MEDIC reported that four individuals were injured and taken to local hospitals, including one person with serious injuries and three with minor injuries. WSOCTV noted that three cars were involved in the incident.
