Following the rescue, the patient, whose identity remains undisclosed, was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center harboring life-threatening injuries that required immediate attention, underlining the severity of the collision which left them critically injured and necessitated significant medical intervention.
Traffic around the area experienced delays as crews worked at the site of the accident and while no other information has been furnished by ATCEMS, and EMS units have since cleared the scene, the circumstances that led to the harrowing event have prompted local authorities to urge drivers to exercise increased caution in an area sadly no stranger to such incidents, with public safety becoming, ever more, a collective responsibility in these urban quarters.
