Sacramento's culinary scene is evolving as Anonimo Pizza closes on October 15, while chef Juanes Ramazzini introduces two new concepts. One of these, named Luccas, will initially be called Luccas by Anonimo to help customers transition smoothly, as reported by The Sacramento Bee.

Ramazzini’s newest restaurant honors his Italian and his wife’s Spanish heritages with the name Luccas. The goal is certainly to smoothly continue the legacy of his late partner Chris Jarosz, while also going to refine the concept with an updated menu. Despite the closure of Anonimo, Ramazzini aims to carry forward elements of his original crust creation into this new endeavor. “I’ve been working to keep his legacy alive, and want to keep it somehow connected to him,” Ramazzini told The Sacramento Bee. Luccas will reintroduce Detroit-style pizzas and calzones to its patrons.

Meanwhile, midtown Sacramento already got a taste of Ramazzini's culinary expertise with the soft opening of Bambina’s Pizza & Pasta in September. Taking the spot at Ice Blocks left vacant by Curry Up Now, Ramazzini brings forth his 15-year culinary experience to create a place that specializes in pizza and pasta, as he shared with ABC10. The restaurant has quickly become a neighborhood favorite, with Bambina-style, Sicilian, and the signature Pinsa-style pizzas highlighting the menu.

Bambina’s has also innovated by partnering with Device Brewing Co., allowing customers to conveniently place orders via QR code. Ramazzini has taken a liking to the Pinsa-style pizza, expressing his connection to its creation. “It’s personal size, but it’s crispy on the outside and just light and airy on the inside,” he described in a statement obtained by ABC10. The full celebration of Bambina’s opening is slated for October 24, promising to add yet another layer of Ramazzini's culinary craftsmanship to Sacramento’s dining scene.

As Luccas is set to start serving customers around the time of Anonimo’s closing, patrons can anticipate a unique blend of legacies. Luccas will follow a different operating schedule compared to Bambina's, planning to open its doors from 3 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and extending till 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays to accommodate the dinner crowd.
