The City of Dallas Code Compliance Services Department has just been recognized on a national stage, according to a report from the city's bulletin. It was awarded the "Code Compliance Department of the Year" for its dedication and innovative approach to maintaining public safety and community health. At the same annual conference, Assistant Director Brian Morris landed a key leadership role within the American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE).
It's not every day a city department gets to stand in the spotlight and claim to thoroughly have fulfilled its mandate in such a distinguished manner. At the 35th Annual AACE Conference, not only did the department take home the top honor, but it also clinched an award for "Innovative Program and Creative Marketing." This accolade, as per Chris Christian, the department’s director, "underscores our commitment to maintaining high standards in public safety, community health, and neighborhood integrity," as stated in a City of Dallas.
Meanwhile, the department's foray into creative outreach has not gone unnoticed, netting it the "Innovative Program and Creative Marketing" award. Their initiatives are recognized for significantly having raised awareness about the importance of code compliance and for fostering partnerships within the community. The recognition comes as a nod to the department's successful marketing drives that have not just promoted but also engaged Dallas residents in compliance issues.
