The Dallas area is expecting sunny skies and warm temperatures in the high 80s. Starting the week off with a bright Monday, temperatures are forecasted to hit near 88 degrees with a calm south wind intensifying to 10 to 15 mph. Gusts could reach up to 25 mph. The evening is expected to see partly cloudy skies, with lows hovering around 69 degrees and wind speeds increasing, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday will continue with similar conditions, partly sunny and a high again near 87. However, the wind's persistence will be noted, coming from the south at 15 to 20 mph, and gusting at speeds as high as 35 mph. The night follows in kind, only slightly warmer with lows near 70. In this stretch of weather, where consistency seems to be key, the winds remain a steadfast companion to the Texan sun.
A shift in the weather pattern is expected by midweek. Wednesday offers a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms as a prelude. While still partly sunny with a high near 86, stronger winds from the south are anticipated, gusting up to 30 mph. This precedes more certain precipitation, with an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night. Temperatures will drop slightly to a low of around 64, and the winds will also ease to around 10 mph, though gusts could still ascend to 20 mph.
Into Thursday, the area will see a reduced but continuing 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly before 1 p.m. Following the rain, a cooler high of around 76 is expected as winds shift from the south to north in the afternoon. As night falls, the chance of rain remains unchanged, with mostly cloudy conditions and lows around 61. It's noteworthy, that Dallas residents looking forward to the weekend should keep umbrellas close at hand.
On Friday, the week rounds out with a 50 percent chance of ongoing showers and thunderstorms. The day is forecast to be mostly cloudy with a high near 75. The likelihood of rain increases Friday night with a 60 percent chance, with low temperatures expected to be around 65 degrees. While the forecast suggests inconsistency in rainfall, one thing is clear - the latter half of the week in Dallas will be in stark contrast to its sunny start.
