An argument in Lake Los Angeles turned lethal early Friday morning when a woman discharged a firearm, resulting in one fatality and one woman being hospitalized. The incident unfolded just after 5:30 a.m. in the 40900 block of 176th Street East, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said, as reported by KTLA.
The sheriff's deputies discovered two Hispanic adult female victims, both with gunshot wounds, upon arrival at the scene. They were quickly transported to a local hospital, where, sadly, one of the victims was announced dead. The surviving victim is currently in a stable condition. What began as a verbal confrontation escalated significantly when the assailant produced a firearm and opened fire on the victims before fleeing the location, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept Information Bureau.
