The seasonal spirit in Dearborn has been officially recognized with the Dearborn City Beautiful Commission unveiling their choices for the most eye-catching fall displays across the city. 45 homes have been honored as part of the 2024 Dearborn Aglow: Fall program, now in its second year. Residents have truly shown out to fully adorn their properties, earning them a spot on the coveted list of honorees across 17 districts.

Each district has up to three honorees who can to proudly showcase a window decal as a symbol of their distinction. Additionally, these honorees are invited to an awards ceremony slated for early next year. Those not making the top spots still gained recognition, with up to seven households in each district receiving an honorable mention for their efforts in beautifying their slice of Dearborn.

Homes such as 7323 Orchard in District One, 4841 Korte in District Five, and 22712 Doxtator in District Eight are just a few examples of the addresses that have stood out in their respective neighborhoods. The full list of honorees, as reported on the City of Dearborn official website, aspires to commend the citizens for the care and creativity put into their seasonal displays.

"The Dearborn City Beautiful Commission appreciates all residents who add to the welcoming spirit of our community by caring for the appearance of their front yards or decorating throughout the year," Commission Chair Rene Ziaja told the City of Dearborn, recognizing the collective effort of the Dearborn populace. The commission's initiative seems to be more than just an aesthetics drive; it is a community unifier, encouraging neighbors to take pride in not just their homes but also their shared environment.

The Dearborn City Beautiful Commission, with its members appointed by Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud, runs the show but it's the residents who breathe life into the program. Their ongoing programs cover all seasons: spring, fall, and winter Aglow, along with recognizing the Residential Standard of Excellence and Sustainable Gardens in summer. These initiatives work towards fostering a sense of pride and cohesiveness in Dearborn—one leaf-raked, one porch-decorated yard at a time.
