
Residents of DeKalb County are reassured as local emergency response teams have taken proactive measures regarding air quality following a hazard in neighboring Rockdale County. In an approach to public safety, DeKalb Emergency Management (DEMA) collaborated with DeKalb County Fire Rescue to perform extensive air quality tests. According to a statement on the official Dunwoody government website, the results has no elevated gas levels were detected throughout the county.
Fire Rescue didn't rely on the continuous 24-hour monitoring by the EPD and GEMA, they also enhanced their efforts by conducting two rounds of air sampling at 30 strategic locations. Additionally, at 7 p.m., they conducted samplings near the county border. "Zero levels at all locations," the statement affirmed.
Beyond these measures, the county officials have scheduled another round of spot air samplings, set for 9 p.m. The vigilant stance of DeKalb County authorities reflects an earnest dedication to the well-being of community members.
