In an approach to public safety, DeKalb Emergency Management (DEMA) collaborated with DeKalb County Fire Rescue to perform extensive air quality tests. Fire Rescue didn't rely on the continuous 24-hour monitoring by the EPD and GEMA, they also enhanced their efforts by conducting two rounds of air sampling at 30 strategic locations. Additionally, at 7 p.m., they conducted samplings near the county border. "Zero levels at all locations," the statement affirmed.
