The Detroit Police are actively searching for 73-year-old Gracie Harris, a resident of Detroit who has been missing for over nine days. Harris was last seen on October 18 near Garden View Circle, in an area bordered by Joy Road and the Southfield Freeway. The Detroit Police Department has disseminated a description of Harris as a woman standing 5’9” and weighing approximately 230 lbs., with black hair, according to WWJ Newsradio 950.
Concerns are heightened due to Harris's undisclosed health issues. Her daughter, expressing worry for her mother's well-being, has issued a call to the community for assistance. She has not been heard from since her disappearance, and the search intensifies with each passing day. The Detroit Police Department's Sixth Precinct is asking anyone with information on Harris's whereabouts to come forward.
Furthering the efforts to find Harris, the Detroit Police Department has taken to social media for aid in their search. A post from the Detroit Police Department's Missing Facebook page implores the public to help locate the missing woman, stating, "Please help us find missing Gracie Harris. If you have any information, please call Detroit's 6th Precinct at (313) 596-5640 or 911."
