
Delaware State Police have made an arrest tied to felony drug charges in Lincoln, after conducting a search warrant at a residence that became the focal point of an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics. 44-year-old Antonio Young from Dover was taken into custody following the police operation on September 26, 2024, which involved multiple law enforcement units, details of which have been provided on the Delaware State Police news release.
The collective effort involved Sussex and Kent County Drug Units, Sussex and Kent County Governor’s Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team. Officers carried out a meticulously planned search at a property situated on the 8000 block of Greentop Road, aiming to fully ascertain the extent of the illegal activities allegedly operated by Mr. Young and his associates. In total, twelve individuals were found on the premises and detained during the search. A thorough inspection of the property and vehicles led to the discovery of not only illicit substances but also ammunition and items commonly associated with the drug trade.
According to the state police, investigators found approximately 0.756 grams of heroin, approximately 15.72 grams of crack cocaine, 12-gauge shotgun ammunition, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and $454 in what is suspected to be drug proceeds. The search resulted in four individuals, out of the twelve detained, being arrested on misdemeanor offenses and capias warrants. The others encountered during the operation were released without any charges.
The charges against Young are serious and multiple, reflecting the alleged gravity of his involvement in drug trafficking. Young has been charged with "Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)," "Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony)," three counts of "Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance," "Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 1 (Felony)," "Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)," "Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)," and "Possession of Drug Paraphernalia." Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Mr. Young was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $45,000 cash bond.
