Duval County residents will have the opportunity to perform their civic duty before November 5, as early voting in the county kicks off on Monday next week. Citing the importance of everyone's voice being heard in the upcoming general election, Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland has announced a two-week window for early voting, concluding on Sunday, November 3. As per each year, early voting is meant to offer convenience for those whose schedules may not allow them to visit the polls on Election Day proper.
Those eager to cast their ballots can do so from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Duval County has made the process more accessible by providing voters with a comprehensive list of 24 early voting locations. Residents, with questions about voting, are encouraged to seek further information by contacting the office at 904-255-VOTE (8683) or visiting their website. This initiative aims to encourage a higher turnout by affording flexible voting times to the electorate,
Among the designated spots for early voters in Jacksonville and surrounding areas are public libraries, community centers, and a wellness center. From the Argyle Branch Library on Old Middleburg Road South to the Willow Branch Library on Park Street, neighborhood landmarks have been transformed into bastions of democracy, where any registered voter can make their mark on local and national outcomes. With an array of locations like the Beaches Branch Library in Neptune Beach and the Legends Community Center on Soutel Drive, citizens have no shortage of venues to exercise their franchise smoothly and efficiently.
The full slate of early voting locales is available on the Duval County Supervisor of Elections website, which provides details on each voting site as well as other helpful election information.
