
Five individuals are now facing recovery after a vehicle struck them Tuesday evening in the Westlake district. The Los Angeles Fire Department swiftly responded to the incident, which took place around 7:40 p.m. at the 2300 block of W. Eighth Street. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported they found two adults and three teenagers, all kin in some sense, in various conditions ranging from serious to fair.
As of now, an unidentified driver who fled the scene looms over the investigation. CBS Los Angeles reported that there's been no additional information provided about the driver's identity or motives.
All the victims were transported to nearby hospitals where they continued to undergo treatment. The Los Angeles Police Department's Central Traffic Division is handling the inquiries into this painful event (Incident #4410). While the LAPD conducts its search, those with information might help illuminate the path forward.
