The Fort Worth Police Department is teaming up with The Grantsmanship Center in a move to energize local service agencies with practical skills in program planning. A workshop is set for October 9-10, aiming to empower organizations within the Fort Worth area, especially those involved in crime and safety impact initiatives, with the acumen for developing programs that gather support and potentially qualify for city grants.
As per a Facebook post by the Fort Worth Police Department, the upcoming event focuses on “program planning rather than writing proposals,” addressing a critical facet of community service that goes beyond the penning of grant applications. This initiative seeks to encourage agencies that have designs to apply to the City of Fort Worth for a Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) Community-Based Program grant to enhance their strategic planning capabilities.
Local agencies looking to further their contribution to the public welfare and the safety of the community now have a pertinent training opportunity. Registration for the workshop is currently open, and attendees can sign up via the link shared in the Fort Worth Police Department’s announcement. The collaboration between the police department and The Grantsmanship Center highlights ongoing efforts to bring forth systemic changes and improvements through bolstered public service strategies.
