The Fort Worth Police Department is turning to the community for support in identifying two individuals linked to a cable wire theft dating back to Labor Day weekend. According to a Fort Worth Police Department's Facebook post, on August 31, two suspects were involved in the theft of a lengthy section of AT&T wire from a business park located at the 4000 block of E Loop 820 S, which resulted in a transformer explosion and subsequent power loss for several nearby homes.
Caught on surveillance equipment, the suspects returned to the scene around 1 p.m. the following day, donning the same vehicle. With a cutting tool in hand, one suspect was seen severing pieces of wire while the other suspect aided in loading the materials into their truck. The police are urging anyone with information related to the suspects or the incident to step forward.
