Houston residents can expect a continuation of the current sunny and warm pattern, as forecasts anticipate clear skies and high temperatures for the area. According to Houston's Detailed Weather Forecast, conditions will remain sunny with highs approaching 90 degrees today and through the weekend, only slightly dipping into the high 60s to low 70s during the night.
Further affirming the stable conditions, the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, has relayed that severe thunderstorm potential remains subdued. "Severe thunderstorm potential will remain low today," assures the Forecast Discussion from the area. A cold front is expected to move across parts of the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes, but this isn't forecasted to affect Houston's weather significantly.
Adding to the weather insights, a post from the NWS in Houston suggests autumnal temperatures will not make a major swing downward anytime soon. "Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are on tap for today with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s," reports Heat Index Outlook. The overnight temperatures are predicted to stay comfortable.

Despite the harsher weather seen in other regions of the United States, Houstonians will continue to experience clear skies. While convection and thunderstorm activity may be on the table for parts of South Florida and offshore the northern California coastline, Houston's forecast appears undisturbed by such disturbances.
