
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is appealing to the public for information relating to a hit-and-run incident that left a woman in a wheelchair with life-threatening injuries. According to First Coast News, the crash occurred on August 31, early in the morning on Atlantic Boulevard.
The investigation by JSO has determined that the victim was crossing the street when struck by a black Toyota sedan. After the collision, the driver did not stay on scene, but instead fled. According to a Facebook post from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the accident took place specifically in the 8200 block of Atlantic Boulevard.
Authorities are now seeking help in identifying the vehicle involved. A picture of the black Toyota sedan has been released to aid in this process. Anyone who has knowledge related to the incident is encouraged to come forward, with details on how to contact JSO provided in the original reports.
