The City of Kennesaw has officially launched its latest health-focused initiative—the new Fit Station at Swift-Cantrell Park. Last Friday, the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the Fit Station's opening, located at 3140 Old 41 Hwy NW.
With screen time frequently exceeding active time, Kennesaw is encouraging residents to adopt healthier lifestyles. A 24-by-54-foot fitness station has been installed in Swift-Cantrell Park, designed for full-body workouts both in daylight and at night, equipped with Langy FTO1 Series Solar Lights. For cardiovascular exercise, the Cardio Walker is available, while the Lat Pull-Down focuses on upper body strength. The Balance Board is an option for those aiming to improve balance and core stability. The Fit Station is intended to accommodate a variety of physical abilities.
Kennesaw is enhancing the park experience at Swift-Cantrell Park, which offers a variety of recreational options. The park features a one-mile paved walking track, playgrounds, a splash pad, picnic pavilions, and three dog parks. There is also a skate park and the Life University Wellness Station.
