The Lewisville Police Department (LPD) confirmed through a social media update that they had detained a suspect linked to the shooting after responding to a 911 call at 11:34 a.m. In the heart of the crisis, Lakeway Drive was closed, leaving many residents and bystanders seeking alternative routes on an already tense day.
The LPD has noted that this violent outbreak, which beset the otherwise ordinary day, was an isolated incident involving the detained suspect and the now-deceased victim.
