The Lewisville Public Library, located at 1197 W. Main Street, continues to serve as a hub of knowledge and entertainment for the community. In regular business hours, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the library closes its doors to the public every Sunday. The forthcoming events aim to engage diverse age groups, from educational ventures for kids to practical assistance and classic entertainment for adults.
Young minds, specifically children between 6 and 8, can delve into new realms of understanding through the "Elementary Explorations" program. Set on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Bennett Program Room, this month's session focuses on Kindness Club Crafts. According to the City of Lewisville's announcement, the only way in is a ticket, free of charge, which interested guardians can collect from the Youth Services Desk, starting 30 minutes before the event.
For adults seeking to sharpen their professional edge, "Resumes with Renee," a session dedicated to resume building, will occur without registration needed on the same day, from 6-7 p.m. Offering over two decades of human resources and IT project management savvy, this workshop promises attendees insider strategies to craft resumes that stand out in the competitive job market. All needing to elevate their job-seeking game are welcome to join the Small Conference Room.
