Baltimore County officials have teamed up with the Greater Randallstown Community Development Organization to kickstart the Liberty Road Commercial Facade Improvement Grant Program—a move aimed at refreshing the look of local businesses along the Liberty Road corridor. As per the Baltimore County press release, this initiative falls within the County's broader strategy to bolster economic activity and enhance the district's aesthetic, which is crucial for neighborhood vitality.

The program extends from the City-County Line to Pikeswood Dr. in Randallstown. It financially supports small businesses and commercial property owners within the Liberty Road Commercial Revitalization District (CRD). The plan, laying out $430,000 from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and an injection of $500,000 from County FY2025 capital funding, is designed to invigorate shopping centers and businesses by improving their external facades.

The Baltimore County Department of Planning will spearhead outreach efforts to engage with local businesses over the coming weeks. Interested parties are invited to attend an informational kickoff meeting scheduled for October 15 at 6:30 p.m. on WebEx, confirmation of which was found in a Baltimore County press release. The department aims to educate prospective applicants about the program and how they might benefit.
