
A gruesome car-to-car shooting in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles has left a man dead, an incident that unfolded on a sunny Saturday afternoon and has since prompted a homicide investigation by local authorities.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the shooting occurred around 2:20 p.m. in the 11900 block of Chandler Avenue, flanked by apartment buildings and the everyday comings and goings of city life, the LAPD's Officer Norma Eisenman confirmed the man was declared deceased inside a vehicle after the sound of gunfire shattered the peace of the residential area.
Witnesses recounted seeing a dark-colored sedan speeding away eastbound on Chandler Avenue following the shooting, as the victim's car, a black Audi, coasted and then collided with an apartment complex, as reported by CBS News Los Angeles. The suspect's vehicle and driver are still at large, with no immediate clues to the motive fueling this act of violence.
