A late-night shooting in South Charlotte has left a man dead, local police report. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has begun an investigation into the fatal incident, which occurred just before the clock struck midnight on Friday, within the car-pocked confines of James Blakeney Avenue.
The victim was discovered with fatal gunshot wounds in a vehicle. Authorities were initially called to the 12800 block of James Blakeney Avenue over an "accident with injury" report.
