The Maricopa Police Department has enacted a new way for citizens to report non-emergency incidents conveniently, launching an Online Reporting System. Residents can now file reports for concerns such as bike theft, fraud, and nuisance animals directly through their digital devices, as reported by the City of Maricopa.
The platform, which is already functional, aims to improve the city's law enforcement services by making the process of reporting certain types of incidents more accessible. It allows for anytime, anywhere submission of such reports, effectively easing the traditional method where a police officer's physical presence was often required, as per the City of Maricopa.
Mark Goodman, the Maricopa Police Chief, emphasized the importance of adapting to a growing population and its demands. "As our city grows, so must our approach to public safety. This online reporting system helps us stay ahead by embracing technology to make our services more efficient and responsive,” he told the official Maricopa website.
To use the service, residents can visit www.mpd.report, where details and guidance on how to submit a report are provided. "As always, for emergencies, please call 911. For non-emergencies, Maricopa PD is now just a click away," Maricopa City stated.
