A tragic motorcycle crash in Midland claimed the life of a local 33-year-old man yesterday afternoon. The Midland Police Department reported that the accident occurred on E. Indian Street near Haley Street at approximately 3:52 p.m. According to ABC12, "The Midland Police Department says the 33-year-old man was riding a motorcycle on Indian Street near Haley Street around 3:50 p.m., when he lost control and went off the left side of the road surface."
The rider was found unresponsive by the authorities who swiftly arrived on the scene after the motorcycle had struck a curb and then a road sign. Despite being transported quickly to MyMichigan Medical Center, he was pronounced dead due to the injuries he sustained. As noted by WNEM, "The rider, a 33-year-old Midland man, was found unresponsive at the scene."
Much about the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine what caused the motorcyclist to seemingly inexplicably lose control. The Midland Police Department has been leading this investigation and is expected to provide further details as they become available.
