Calling all locals with a heart for community service! The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is on the hunt for enthusiastic adults to join their Mentor Program, aiming to connect youngsters between the ages of 10-14 with supportive adult mentors, as reported by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
According to a recent announcement, the program is especially keen on those who harbor a zest for positively influencing young lives in Minneapolis. Volunteers will be paired with fellow mentors and assigned to a park where they will engage in a plethora of activities with the youth, including games, and educational conversations, all while fostering relationships and exemplifying admirable behavior. The commitment may run for a minimum of one year, but mentors only need to dedicate a mere four hours per month.
If you're interested in a rewarding opportunity, apply for the Minneapolis Parks Mentor Program by October 31. For more information, contact Adrian Waters at 612-849-9048 or [email protected].
