However, tonight forecasts show a slight chance of showers between 3 am and 4 am, then a possibility of showers and thunderstorms after 4 am, partly cloudy with a low around 61 degrees and gusts as high as 20 mph, the NWS reports.
Tomorrow's outlook offers a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 8 am, then mostly sunny with a high near 76, the southwest wind will shift to the north in the afternoon and could see gusts up to 20 mph, as the weekend approaches, the forecast suggests sunny days with highs in the mid to upper 60s and clear nights with lower temperatures dipping close to the low to mid-forties.
In terms of hazards, the forecast points out dry conditions coupled with low humidity and gusty winds could elevate the fire danger this afternoon, especially in northeastern Missouri and west-central Illinois, "Scattered thunderstorms are expected this evening and overnight" and there's a risk that one or two storms may produce large hail over northeastern Missouri and west-central Illinois as reported by the NWS.
The hazardous weather outlook extends, warning about the potential for aforementioned thunderstorms this evening, no hazardous weather is anticipated for the duration from tomorrow through Wednesday, while spotter activation might be necessary today and overnight to monitor the storm situation, and the National Weather Service encourages spotters to report any hail occurrence and size, as the community in the affected regions keeps an eye on the evolving weather conditions and any potential impact that might follow.
