The Moore Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man they suspect is involved in a series of disturbing events at local retail stores. On October 9, an individual was reported to have followed customers inside a Target store, where he allegedly took inappropriate photographs of patrons. This suspect is also believed to be linked to a previous incident in September, where a man was caught capturing images of people inside a Kohl’s dressing room, according to a report by OKC FOX.
Adding to the concerns, the Moore Police have connected this suspect with another unsettling encounter at the same Target location earlier in the month. The man is accused of inappropriately touching a female shopper before fleeing the scene when confronted. As KOCO reports, surveillance footage captured the suspect approaching a woman as she browsed through clothing. "Who inappropriately touched her while she was looking at clothing, and then he promptly ran out after he was confronted," said Clint Byley of the Moore Police Department, in a statement obtained by KOCO.
The suspect's actions, spanning potentially multiple incidents, have raised serious concerns within the community. Following the latest reported incident at Target, the suspect was seen leaving the premises in what appeared to be a black Ford Taurus. The Moore Police Department is enhancing efforts to capture the suspect by offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to his positive identification.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the man or the vehicle to contact the police immediately. Secure communication can be established through Crime Stoppers of Moore by calling (405) 793-5160, or by reaching out directly to Detective Grant at 405-793-5109. Alternatively, tips can be sent via email to [email protected], referencing case number 2024101565, as noted by KFOR.
"We would really like to get a positive ID on this person, so we can talk to them about what happened and get both sides of the story," Byley emphasized in an interview mentioned by KOCO. The Moore Police Department has reiterated that tips can remain anonymous, ensuring the privacy of those who decide to come forward.
