A motorcycle incident in Sage Canyon prompted an urgent response from CHP's Golden Gate Division Air Operations earlier this week. In a statement on their official Facebook page, the Air Operations unit detailed the events leading to the rescue of a downed motorcyclist off the roadway. Friends of the motorcyclist, having discovered the scene roughly twenty minutes after the accident, called for assistance, which soon arrived in Helicopter-30 (H-30).
Upon arrival, the CHP aircrew assessed the situation and promptly transported the injured party to Kaiser Vacaville. The rider, suffering from what were suspected to be major injuries, necessitated a swift evacuation. According to the Facebook update by the CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations, the patient's current condition following the transport is not included.
CAL FIRE LNU had initially requested aerial assistance, signifying the severity of the rider's situation and the rough terrain complicating ground rescue efforts.
