
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to locate a person connected to a shooting in the Northeast area of the city. The incident occurred last Friday around 6:16 p.m. when officers from the Sixth District responded to reports of gunfire in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast.
Upon their arrival, first responders encountered an adult male victim who, although injured, was conscious and breathing after sustaining a gunshot wound, he was quickly transported to a nearby hospital to receive care for his non-life-threatening injuries, according to a detailed press release by the MPD. In an attempt to gather more information, the MPD has released footage and images of the suspected assailant, courtesy of a surveillance camera located in the vicinity of the crime scene and these visuals are available to the public through the provided link.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the crime to avoid approaching the individual. The MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for tips that lead to the arrest and prosecution of those involved in this incident.
