Authorities in Needles, California conducted a search warrant operation last week that led to the discovery of suspected narcotics and the arrest of three residents, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department. The incident took place on the 200 block of F Street, around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
During the operation, Robert Herrell, 73, Tory Martin, 45, and Beatrice Phillips, 61, were arrested under various charges relating to the possession and visitation of a known drug house. A significant quantity of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found on the premises. Herrell, accused of running a drug house, remains in custody with bail set at $30,000.00, while Martin and Phillips received citations with promises to appear in court at a later date, the Sheriff's Department reported.
After the arrests, Martin faced additional allegations of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The authorities transported him and booked him into the Colorado River Station jail. Martin was later released, but he now faces a court appearance to answer his charges, per the official press release.
Phillips, on the other hand, was released at the scene after receiving her citation. Individuals with any further information about this incident may contact the office's Deputy J. Smith directly or submit tips anonymously through the We-Tip Hotline, the Sheriff's Department added in its statement.
The arrests underscore ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to curb illegal drug activity in the community. The Colorado River Station continues to share updates on public safety and crime through its social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, offering citizens a transparent view of the work of their local police.
