
An individual in Oakland County has been apprehended for carrying a concealed AR-15 style firearm, with additional allegations involving the manufacture of gun conversion devices, as reported by WWJ Newsradio. The suspect, already entangled in legal woes due to a May 2024 felony for possession of a controlled substance, now faces the possibility of "substantial charges" for these recent discoveries, yet the sheriff's office has opted to withhold further details about his identity and the context of the arrest at this juncture.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that forms the Gun Violence Task Force, unearthed evidence that the individual was engaged in the creation and distribution of Machinegun Conversion Devices (MCDs); these components have the potential to transform Glock pistols from semi-automatic to fully automatic fire modes, through investigations, they carried out a search warrant which led to the unearthing of a 3D printer, a 3D printed pistol, and 13 Glock MCDs the sheriff's office also mobilized their social media channels to communicate this development, as per the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
