The Marin County Sheriff's Office has apprehended a 56-year-old Oakland resident, David Lester, on charges of selling a large volume of illegal narcotics. The arrest is the culmination of a detailed investigative effort by the Marin County Specialized Investigative Unit, which started in February earlier this year. According to the Marin County Sheriff's Office's official reports, undercover detectives managed to buy illegal drugs from Lester multiple times.

As the investigation gained momentum, a search warrant was served on Lester and his residence. This early raid resulted in the seizure of a staggering amount of drugs, notably over 12 pounds of methamphetamine and over 6.5 pounds of GHB. Other substances found included Ketamine, Cocaine, MDMA, Psilocybin mushrooms, Xanax, and Oxycodone, alongside a range of various illegal narcotics. In a similar operation conducted in October of the same year, detectives discovered an additional 12 pounds of GHB and roughly 2.5 pounds of Methamphetamine in Lester’s possession, as well as other drugs repeating the same roster from the first bust.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office has reiterated its dedication to combating drug-related crimes within the community.
