Early Tuesday morning, Oklahoma City became the scene of a high-speed chase that concluded with two arrests and one person hospitalized. According to KOCO 5, the pursuit began near Northeast 50th Street and Interstate 35, after Oklahoma City Police attempted to pull over a driver for traffic violations around 1:30 a.m. The driver's decision to flee initiated a pursuit that reached peaks nearing 100 mph before ending near Interstates 44 and 240.
During the incident, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol took action by executing a tactical vehicle intervention. The maneuver proved effective in ending the pursuit as "the driver bailed and ran into the woods, where he was arrested," as per details provided by law enforcement to KOCO 5. Notably, police said three people were in a vehicle during the chase.
News On 6 reported that the situation was brought under control with the assistance of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, which took aggressive measures to stop the fleeing vehicle. Subsequently, Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed that two individuals were taken into custody after the chase was thwarted.
The chase took an unexpected turn when, according to KFOR, a passenger leapt from the car shortly after the chase began, resulting in an injury requiring hospitalization. Neither the names of the suspects nor the extent of injuries have been released.
