An Orlando woman found herself in handcuffs following a hit-and-run incident that left a Kissimmee home significantly damaged. The event unfolded Wednesday afternoon when a white Ford Explorer crashed into a house along Neptune Road near Kings Highway, causing a significant breach in the brick exterior. WFTV reported that the SUV, driven by 28-year-old Tharyana Guzman, ended partially inside the residence.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, after the collision, Guzman and her four passengers exited the vehicle, the latter group climbing through the sunroof, and fled the scene. The homeowner’s surveillance footage, later reviewed by authorities, captured the entire escapade, including the faces of the five individuals involved. In a strange twist of fate, a trooper arrived to find the vehicle with “front-end damage” abandoned outside the damaged home, ClickOrlando reported.

Guzman was later located south of the crash site and was detained by the authorities. While being interviewed, she denied ever having been inside the vehicle despite the weighty evidence presented by the officers. "She advised she was never inside of the vehicle and that she plead (sic) the Fifth. I then advised Tharyana that she was on camera inside of the driver seat during the time of the crash," ClickOrlando report included statements from the arrest report.

Adding to Guzman's denials, her injuries narrated a different story. Troopers noted that the swollen eye she sustained could have been from the deployment of the driver’s side airbag. In the conversation's continuation, she turned a deaf ear to the trooper’s attempt to discuss crash documents. Despite her reluctance, Guzman was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and driving with a suspended license. ClickOrlando said she was booked into the Osceola County jail, with her bond set at $1,000.
