
At a Wentzville motel on Monday morning when a disturbance call led to a police standoff. A son, armed with a knife, barricaded himself in a room with his mother at the Crossroads Heritage Motel, located at 404 Luetkenhaus Blvd. The incident ended peacefully with no injuries, according to FOX 2 now.
Police were called to the motel around 7:30 a.m. after reports of an argument between two brothers that escalated into a dangerous situation. One brother left the scene after locking the other and their mother inside the motel room, prompting SWAT and negotiators to assist in resolving the issue, according to a post by the Wentzville Missouri Police Department on their Facebook page.
The suspect, identified by First Alert 4 as Morgan M. McGeorge, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He has a history of violent behavior, with prior charges in Florida that include battery on a pregnant victim and assault with a deadly weapon. In Missouri, he faced earlier allegations of second-degree burglary
As the situation calmed, the Wentzville Police Department expressed gratitude their officers, the St. Charles County Regional SWAT Team, and everyone involved for the peaceful resolution. They stated, "This was an isolated incident involving individuals known to each other, and we are thankful that no one was injured," as reported by the Wentzville Missouri Police Department.
