Two Philadelphia men, 21-year-old Jason MacDonald and Goldwin Prince, also 21, are currently facing serious charges following a reckless driving incident that resulted in a 13-year-old girl being struck on a sidewalk in Abington Township, as per a report from the Abington Township Police. The crash took place on Friday afternoon, right before 4 p.m., at the intersection of Jenkintown Road and Abington Avenue, as reported by NBC Philadelphia.

Investigations revealed that MacDonald blew through a red light, crashing into another vehicle passing legally through the intersection, after this impact, MacDonald's car swerved onto the sidewalk and hit the teenage girl, who had been conversing with a crossing guard at the time, according to Fox29.

Following the crash, both MacDonald and Prince fled on foot. However, they were apprehended shortly after by Abington police, during the arrest police found Prince in possession of a loaded handgun and marijuana which led to corresponding firearm and drug possession charges, as detailed by CBS News Philadelphia.

The injured teenager was taken to Abington Jefferson Hospital and fortunately sustained non-life-threatening injuries, per CBS News Philadelphia. The Abington police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
