Tragedy struck the 300 block of Delafield Place, Northwest, when an adult male was discovered with fatal stab wounds early Saturday morning. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, authorities were called to the scene at 1:15 a.m. where the victim, later identified as 46-year-old Micheal Buie of no fixed address, was found injured inside a building; despite attempts by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to save Buie, he was pronounced dead at the location.
As investigators actively probe into the homicide, police call on the community for assistance, requesting that those with information not take any action themselves but instead contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
