A Round Rock sixth-grader, Andi Abbott, has put her artistic stamp on the democratic process by clinching victory in Williamson County’s "I Voted" sticker design contest; her design is slated to add a personal touch to the voting experience this November 5 election. The contest, as reported by KXAN, drew entries from middle schoolers throughout the county, but it was Abbott’s work that garnered the approval of a four-judge panel—a unique blue circular backdrop adorning the phrase "I Voted Y'all" with the iconic silhouette of Texas setting it apart.

Although she is years away from participating in the ballots herself, Abbott's design will greet adult voters, a poignant reminder of the intersection where youth meets civic engagement, Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell hailed the initiative, stating to CBS Austin "Voting is our constitutional right as Americans and a privilege that should not be taken for granted," further emphasizing the contest's role in bridging generations in the electoral process.

"I love doing art. I have been doing art for as long as I can remember. When I first heard about this competition, I was a little scared. I was competing against seventh and eighth graders, kids a lot older than me," Abbott recounted. "I want to thank Ms. Redding, my art teacher who taught me so much about art." With an energetic sign-off, Abbott encouraged potential voters with a spirited, "In conclusion, y’all go vote!" as conveyed in a statement to KXAN.
