Residents of San Antonio can look forward to a spell of warm, largely sunny weather, complete with a smattering of gusts as the week progresses. According to the National Weather Service, the city will see mostly clear skies with daytime highs flirting with the 90-degree mark. Calm winds are expected to shift from easterly breezes to more southerly gusts as the week marches on.
The National Weather Service's extended forecast indicates that after a sunny Saturday topping off near 90 degrees, the evening will cool down to a comfortable 67 degrees. Light winds from the east-southeast will taper off, setting the scene for a tranquil night. The NWS expects a repetition of these conditions come Sunday, with nightfall dropping temperatures marginally to 66 degrees.
The story remains mostly the same for Monday, promising mostly sunny skies with the high just a notch below Sunday's. However, the wind picks up a bit, with gusts possibly reaching 20 mph. Nightfall will not bring much of a reprieve, with partly cloudy conditions sustained south southeast wind around 15 mph, and gusts that may ramp up to 25 mph.
Staying the course Tuesday through Wednesday, partially sunny days with highs in the upper 80s are on tap. However, there's an increase in wind strength. South southeast winds will be blowing 10 to 20 mph, pushing gusts potentially as high as 30 mph. San Antonio's nights will be partly cloudy with lows in the low seventies.
A slight shift in the weather pattern is forecasted for the latter half of the upcoming week; the region may experience its first sprinkles of precipitation in several days. By Wednesday night, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 am. This trend of occasional showers is likely to continue into Friday with chances hovering around 20 percent, as per NWS.
