San Jose Police Department's investigation into narcotics trafficking led to a raid on an alleged illegal gambling and drug den in the residential heart of the city, resulting in two arrests. According to the SJPD News Release, officers from the METRO unit, supported by the MERGE unit, executed a search warrant last Thursday following a detailed investigation into the activities at a residence on Meadow Glen Way.

Digging through the leads, Glenn Jingco and Sophana El emerged as primary suspects in the case, with the METRO unit officers unearthing evidence of drug sales and gambling operations at the named location. Subsequently, a house search revealed quite a haul: illegally manufactured firearms loaded with no serial numbers, a short-barreled shotgun, assorted ammunition, quantities of methamphetamine, cash in different denominations, and around seven bulky gambling machines were seized alongside various paraphernalia correlated to drug use.

The discovery of such contraband, especially the weapons, carries additional weight as Jingco and El, each with a history of criminal convictions, were already prohibited from firearm possession. Both were taken into custody following the search and now face charges of running an illegal gambling and narcotics establishment. They have been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

The San Jose Police Department has not closed the book on this case yet. They're reaching out to the community for more information about this operation or related criminal activity. Officer Randolph #4536 of the METRO Unit can be contacted by email.
