
A detailed social media post by the Sonoma Sheriff's Office revealed that 21-year-old Julian Jesus Cortez-Trevino was arrested on Tuesday. Upon being stopped by the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit, Cortez-Trevino, who was residing in Santa Rosa, was discovered loaded with a substantial sum of cash and a considerable quantity of cocaine, approximately a kilogram. According to the Sonoma Sheriff's statement, this initial encounter led detectives to Cortez-Trevino’s home, where they walked into a deposit of more drugs, money, and a firearm.
The search at Cortez-Trevino's residence unveiled more cocaine, digital scales used for measuring drugs, and additional currency, totaling approximately 2.6 pounds of cocaine and $69,959 in cash seized in the operation. Also discovered was a firearm, adding a layer of severity to the charges faced by Cortez-Trevino.
For being a felon already in possession of a firearm and ammunition, along with charges related to the transportation, distribution, and sale of cocaine, Cortez-Trevino was booked on several felonies. Bailed out after a few hours of being booked at the jail, the bail set at Cortez-Trevino was issued at $30,000, which was rife with criminal charges.
