The mayoral race sees Francisco Luciano Herrera and Donna Dodgen going head-to-head, while the City Council has contenders in several districts. Joe Rea is running unopposed for Council District 1, David Eveld and Mario Hernandez are battling it out for District 2. Another contested council seat is District 4 with John Carlsson facing Ileen Rangel, and in District 6, voters will decide among Monica Napier Carter, Felix Moreno, and Suzanne Wynn, as per an announcement by the City of Seguin.

Early voting begins October 21 and runs through November 1, with varying hours that include weekends. The Seguin Elections Office at 215 S. Milam St. serves as the main early voting location. Election Day itself will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Guadalupe County providing Vote Centers that enable registered voters to cast their votes at any location within the county on November 5, regardless of their home precinct.
