A series of incidents in Seattle involved violence and disorder, starting last Saturday. The first incident occurred at 12:29 a.m. in Lincoln Park, where a suspect assaulted a woman and stole her blanket, pillow, and mat, causing a head injury to the victim. Police later arrested the suspect, charging him with second-degree robbery, and returned the stolen items to the victim, according to reports from the Seattle Police Department Blotter.
The disorder spread to the West Precinct, where about 50 individuals participated in a street event, using Lime scooters and traffic cones to block an intersection while cars performed doughnuts. The situation escalated as participants threw fireworks at officers and patrol cars, with reports indicating the presence of firearms and green lasers in the crowd. Despite the increasing hostility, command officers on the scene chose to withdraw and monitor the situation due to limited resources and the nature of the reported offenses.
Later that evening, a serious stabbing incident occurred in the Little Saigon neighborhood. A passerby found a male victim bleeding from his back and called for an ambulance. Although the victim attempted to walk away, officers detained him under the Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA) criteria to provide first aid until the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived. The victim was then transported to Harborview Medical Center due to potentially life-threatening injuries and was unable to provide details about the attacker or the location of the incident.
A final report indicated a disturbance at an LGBT venue in the East Precinct, where a male became aggressive over a cover charge and assaulted the venue's security staff. After retreating and threatening to "shoot up" the club, the suspect was arrested while attempting to leave the area. Due to his threats against officers and his fugitive status from Colorado, community outreach groups, including the LGBT liaison, were notified of the bias crime, according to the SPD Blotter.
