Cincinnati's Skyline Chili and Dewey's Pizza offer a unique cross-town collaboration by launching a special edition of Skyline Dip Deluxe Pizza. This limited-time offering from Oct. 9-16 marks the celebration of Skyline’s 75th anniversary. Available only at certain Dewey's locations across Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, and Columbus, the pizza promises to merge the essences of both iconic establishments into one dish, FOX19 reports.
Standing out with a distinctive cream cheese base, the Skyline Dip Deluxe is loaded with Skyline Chili, mozzarella, and mild cheddar cheese. As a homage to the original chili experience, it is then topped with small red beans and diced onions. As customers in Dayton enjoy the flavors available, the pie is garnished post-bake with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions. For the adventurous palate, Dewey’s is offering optional pickled jalapeños, as WLWT notes.
More than just a culinary twist, this creation also serves a charitable purpose. With every Skyline Dip Deluxe pizza sold, Dewey's will donate $1 to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati—a gesture that underlines the community spirit of this partnership. The pizza is available for dine-in, carry—out, or online orders—a convenience that caters to the diverse preferences of their customer base.
"At Dewey's, we're driven by a passion for innovation while staying true to our roots," told Dewey’s president Chuck Lipp to WLWT. The company recently voted Cincinnati's Favorite Pizza, reflecting its desire to blend new ideas with tradition. And not wanting to leave out those with dietary restrictions, gluten-free crust options are also available upon request, according to the same WLWT article.
This gastronomic event speaks to Cincinnati locals' hearts (and stomachs), offering a taste fusion that is both a walk down memory lane and a nod to current food trends. Providing a twist on the classic Cincinnati-style chili, the Skyline Dip Deluxe invites patrons to customize their experience, accepting no beans or onions for a pizza that suits their chili-fanatic preferences, as shared by Cincinnati.com.
