The St. Louis County Rescue Squad recently concluded its fall training season with an event that offers more than just a test of skills—it's a rite of passage for emergency vehicle operators known as the EVOC Practical. This course, as detailed by a social media post from the St Louis County Rescue Squad, is a demanding session where operators maneuver various rescue vehicles through challenging obstacles, aimed at enhancing their driving capabilities in high-stress scenarios.
According to the St. Louis County Rescue Squad, EVOC or "Emergency Vehicle Operator's Course" is a practical training that involves much more than just driving—members learn the limits of the vehicles in a safe, controlled environment. Despite the serious nature of the training, the post shows a lighter side with members posing for a photo with knocked over traffic cones, capturing their "Been There / Done That" moment.
