The chill of Halloween is hitting the rink with "Goblins on Ice". This annual event, sure to draw a crowd of all ages, is set to glide into town on Friday, Oct. 25, with two sessions of free-spirited icy fun—as long as you're willing to share the ice with a few costumed characters.
According to a bulletin from the City of St. Louis Park, the first session takes place at the Rec Center from noon until 1:30 p.m., followed by a second from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at the ROC. It's an opportunity not only to showcase your skating prowess but also to parade your Halloween costume on ice. Given for free, rental skates are up for grabs, but only while supplies last, so don't drag your feet.
In a seamless blend of spooks and loops, attendees can enjoy "free ice skating during our annual Halloween skating event", as per the event announcement.
Though traditionally associated with trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving, "Goblins on Ice" adds a quirky twist to Halloween festivities. With participants swirling around in imaginative costumes, the ice rink transforms into a carousel of supernatural spectacles. Whether young or only young at heart, the event promises a unique experience, as the event listing emphasizes that it is "for all ages".
