Residents of Sterling Heights have a new opportunity to influence their city's approach to mental health. In partnership with Health Management Associates, the City of Sterling Heights is launching a Community-Wide Stakeholder Survey aimed at assessing mental wellness needs and creating a strategic plan to address them. The plan looks to, identify mental health issues, pinpoint service gaps, and leverage resources to enhance mental wellness in the community.
Understanding health inequities is a significant focus of this initiative, and the city, along with its partners is intent on finding the root causes to address them effectively. The survey is a critical tool for gathering insights from those who experience the city's services firsthand. While participation is voluntary, it gives residents the chance to help shape the resources and strategies moving forward. The survey is designed for those 18 and over, however, parents or guardians can complete it on behalf of minors.
The city and Health Management Associates are committed to community collaboration. By participating, residents will contribute to a plan that addresses disparities and improves overall mental wellness. Those interested have the option to voice their experiences and perspectives through a survey that takes about 10-12 minutes to complete. It's a modest investment of time for a potentially significant impact on the community's mental health infrastructure.
