Del City police are piecing together the details of a chaotic scene after a car, confirmed to have been stolen, crashed into a parked vehicle yesterday morning. The incident, which occurred near SE 16th St. and Hampton Ave., resulted in the car flipping upside down and a group of teenagers fleeing the wreck. According to KFOR, the occupants exited the vehicle quickly after the accident and left the scene before authorities could intervene.

Further investigations by Del City police identified the car as being stolen from an area near the Northwest Expressway and MacArthur Boulevard. The owner was reportedly unaware of the theft until officers arrived at her doorstep. In an interview obtained by News9, witness Michael Reynolds described the surreal encounter, stating, "I saw that white car come speeding down here and it hit that parked car there and it went upside down.” He recounts hearing kids kicking out the back window to escape, with a total of seven individuals seen fleeing the scene.

As officers deployed drones to pursue the suspects, they also dealt with the aftermath affecting local residents. Adam Kendrick, the owner of the parked car hit by the stolen vehicle, told News9 about his recent return from hurricane relief work and the shock of finding his car likely totaled. "They were pulling somebody over and did a high-speed chase," Kendrick explained.

No injuries were reported from the accident, despite the major damage inflicted on both cars, which were towed from the scene. The Del City Police Department continues to search for the suspects, none of whom were caught following the incident, according to KOCO 5.
