Police have made an arrest in connection to a fatal shooting that shook a Northeast neighborhood earlier this month, leaving one man dead. The incident, which took place on T Street, claimed the life of 29-year-old Taquan Turner from Alexandria, VA.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department's release, it was approximately 8:44 p.m. on October 7 when officers, responding to reports of a shooting, discovered Turner with fatal gunshot wounds.
Despite efforts by DC Fire and EMS, Turner was pronounced dead at the scene. It wasn't until weeks later, yesterday, that police arrested 19-year-old Malachi Davarchi Mack on charges of Second Degree Murder While Armed. The arrest was made following the issuance of a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant.
